How to Make a Mojitos Cocktail
How to Make Mojitos Cocktail
In the past few years, one of the most fashionable cocktails is the Cuban Mojito. Now to enjoy its unique taste, it is not necessary to go to the bar. I’ll spot out the technology of preparing Mojito at home. Having learned all the subtleties, you can make this cocktail in your kitchen. We will consider alcoholic and nonalcoholic recipes.
Historical reference. The cocktail “Mojito” is an improved version of the drink “Drak”, the recipe of which was invented by the famous pirate F. Drake. The sea robbers insisted on rum on lime and mint. The received drink helped them to struggle with infectious diseases in sea campaigns.
In 1942, the Martinez family opened its own bar, La Bodeguita del Medio, in Havana. The main highlight of the establishment was the cocktail “Mojito” (from the Spanish word mojito translates as “slightly wet”), which differed from the pirate recipe with one additional ingredient – soda (soda). A delicious, moderately strong cocktail quickly became popular and spread around the world. The Martinez Bar is still working successfully.
